Association NewsCBA Committees
The CBA Board of Directors have established the following committees which all CBA members in good standing are invited to sit on. The Committees are:
Education Committee
- Research education resources and determine which resources are best for the CBA Members, review requests for education partnerships and determine if curriculum is suitable to be endorsed by the CBA,
- Develop criteria for testing CE/PD Credits
- Ensure courses are current
- Develop new courses (research educators)
- Review & evaluate education offerings from other sources
- Assure education opportunities keep pace with current technology and market conditions
Marketing Committee
- Develops strategies on how to communicate a not-for-profit’s message to potential members and to generate interest in the causes it represents. Marketing committee is responsible for “getting the word out”, some of which include press releases, radio announcements, billboards and direct mail campaigns.
Membership Committee
- Membership Committee members act as champions to promote a membership community for members of the organization. The Membership Committee is responsible for creating, implementing and support initiatives for membership engagement and retention, as well as future growth strategies.
Designation Committee
- Researching criteria for certification according to the Standards Council of Canada.
- Developing procedures to fulfill all requirements necessary to apply for designation
Media Committee

Day to day upkeep of social networking sites, inform members of various events/occasions, enhance CBA presence on social media, engage members utilizing Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc

Work with other members of the committee to develop and implement consistent key messages
Practice Committee
- Responsible for reviewing existing form letters and developing new ones
